Alviso Tiny House

In the first week we laid down the floor pallets and framed the two side walls. We were assigned an area of level but rough ground, and as you can see we had a little hard time laying out and nailing up our frames. The kids were great and pushed through like pros.

In the second week we framed the front and back walls. We also test fitted a 100 year old 6/1 double sash window in the rear wall.

In the third week we sheathed all the walls and applied board’n batten and paint. A rough roof was framed anticipating its move to another site.

Owens Game: Owen, a game designer, created and designed a game based on “Monopoly” which he called “The Majority”. He designed this game over the entire 3 weeks of the Day Camps. He was also assisted by all the junior camp members grades 1-5. Winners acquire several homes and the losers become homeless.

On the last day of the Day Camp, the tiny house was cut into panels so it can be transported to wherever it could be reused.
